The cradle raises the drum to a practical height for fitting a tap, while drips and leaks are directed straight into the sump below. With the drum resting in the cradle, installing a tap is straightforward without a hoist. The drum tilts in a controlled manner and drops fall into the spill pallet beneath.

When the drum rests in the cradle, the barrel can be rotated in a controlled, incremental way. You avoid awkward bear‑hugs or improvised lifting that strain backs and shoulders. Because the outlet is at a predictable height, fitting or replacing the tap no longer requires a hoist.
