Bottom Emptying Forklift Skip – a Practical Waste Container for Production and Warehouse Work

A bottom emptying forklift skip gives the team a simple way to collect, move and discharge material with the same forklift or stacker used for other daily handling work. The container is filled from above, transported to the waste point and emptied through the bottom, so the skip does not need the same tipping arc as a traditional forward tipping skip.

How the automatic bottom door works

The container has a two-part bottom door with automatic opening and closing. During emptying, the locking lever is released at the receiving point and the bottom door opens, allowing the load to fall straight down. When the forklift driver raises the forks again, the bottom closes and locks, and the skip is ready to return to production. The driver does not need to climb down to open a latch by hand, which keeps the work process faster and more controlled.

Because the load is discharged from the base, the material does not need to be tipped forward over a high edge. This is useful in areas where the receiving container is close to walls, machinery or other equipment. A lower drop height can also help keep dust, splashes and loose material better controlled.

Strong steel structure for daily use

The skip body is made from 3 mm steel and reinforced for industrial handling. The 800 kg load capacity gives enough strength for many common waste fractions while keeping the container practical for routine forklift movements. The smooth, open top makes filling easy at production lines, cutting stations, packing areas, maintenance points and warehouse zones. The painted blue finish, RAL 5019, gives the skip a clear industrial appearance and makes it easy to identify in the work area.

Stackable skip for limited floor space

Space is often the first problem in a warehouse or factory waste area. This bottom emptying forklift skip is stackable, so empty skips can be stored with less floor space than separate non-stackable containers. Stackability is useful when skips are used seasonally, when different departments need their own containers, or when spare units are kept ready for peak production.
