Move and position 200 L steel drums faster and more safely. This manual hydraulic drum lifter grips the drum rim automatically as soon as you start pumping and keeps the load stable from pickup to set‑down. Lowering is smooth and predictable with a hand‑operated safety valve, so you can place drums on pallets, benches or stands with millimetre‑level precision. Fixed front wheels keep the lifter tracking straight, rear swivel castors make tight turns easy in narrow aisles. The 870 mm inside straddle clears EUR pallets and pallet bins, and the compact 960 mm overall width fits standard warehouse aisles.

When drums are part of everyday work, every lift has to be predictable. This type of lifter is often also called a drum trolley or drum truck in everyday use, but the function is the same. This hydraulic drum lifter is built for fast, controlled handling of 200 L (55 gal) steel drums in warehouses, production cells and goods‑in areas. The hydraulic foot pump raises the drum smoothly from floor level to working height, while an automatic rim clamp (beak clamp) grips the drum as soon as you start pumping. Because the grip is automatic, the operator does not need to lean into the load or adjust catches near the drum.
On straight runs, the fixed front wheels keep the lifter tracking forward without effort. At the rear, swivel castors allow quick direction changes, making it easy to line up with pallet openings or drum stands. The 870 mm inside straddle gives generous clearance over EUR pallets and pallet bins, while the 960 mm overall width remains within common warehouse aisle layouts. That balance means you spend less time repositioning and more time moving material.
With a stepless lifting range from 0 to 700 mm, this drum lifter covers the most common transfer heights in internal logistics. It reaches the typical top surface of pallets (including low and medium‑profile pallet skids), standard packing benches, filling points and decanting stands. In practice, that means fewer awkward lifts by hand, fewer temporary platforms and far less strain on shoulders and backs.
A total height of 1920 mm makes doorway transitions straightforward—no special route planning or tilted moves. At 67 kg, the chassis is light enough for one person to handle yet heavy enough to stay planted when the drum comes clear of the floor. The welded steel frame withstands everyday knocks and the occasional splash from process liquids. All components are selected for repeat use in industrial environments.
This model is intended for standard 200 L (55 gal) steel drums with a rolled rim that the beak clamp can engage securely. If your process involves unusual drum formats or plastic L‑ring drums, our sales team can help confirm suitability before purchase. For conventional steel drums, the clamp locks on automatically as you pump and releases only when you lower to set the drum down.
The lifter is CE‑marked and built for a maximum load of 300 kg. The hydraulic circuit includes a controlled‑descent valve for smooth lowering, and the clamp’s self‑energising geometry adds holding force as the drum’s weight increases.
