Keep PP and PET plastic strapping tight from the moment you tension it until the load is delivered. This 16 mm metal strapping seal is a simple, dependable way to lock plastic strapping on pallets, bundles and heavy goods. When the strap is pulled to the required tension, the seal is crimped over the overlap to stop it from working loose.
Feed both strap ends through the seal and crimp it firmly with sealing pliers, a combination strapping tool or a standard tensioner/sealer set. The serrated inner profile grips evenly to reduce slipping and support safe, consistent strapping on the shop floor.

When a load has to arrive intact, the seal is the part that decides whether the strapping stays tight or slowly creeps open. This 16 mm metal strapping seal is a crimp-on, galvanised steel seal made for PP (polypropylene) and PET (polyester) plastic strapping. You tension the strap, place the seal over the overlapped strap ends and crimp it firmly.
The seal is a straightforward accessory, but it plays a big role in daily warehouse and factory work: reliable unitising, cleaner handling and fewer surprises when goods are moved from line to staging area, into a truck, and finally into the customer’s warehouse.
PP strapping is commonly used for general-purpose packaging and pallet stabilising, while PET strapping is often chosen when higher strength and impact resistance are required. These metal strapping seals are designed to work with both materials, so you can keep one dependable seal size on hand for 16 mm PP and PET strapping in many typical packing tasks.
Tension the plastic strapping to the required tightness, overlap the strap ends, feed both ends through the 16 mm metal strapping seal and crimp. The serrated inner surface and internal gripping features bite into the strap evenly, forming a secure friction lock that is designed to resist slip even when the load is exposed to vibration, humidity and temperature changes.
These 16 mm strapping seals are intended for use with common manual strapping tools. In practice, that includes most combination tools that tension, seal and cut, as well as sealing pliers used after tensioning. The most important rule is simple: match the seal width to your strap width (16 mm) and use a tool designed for that strap and seal size.
