This Dexion P90 pallet racking starter bay is a practical base section for everyday Euro pallet storage: it creates 12 dedicated pallet positions in one bay and keeps your stock organised, visible and forklift‑accessible.

The 4000 mm height gives you a compact vertical storage solution when floor space is tight, while the 2750 mm bay width is sized for three Euro pallets per beam level. When your storage needs grow, you can build a longer run by adding compatible add‑on bays, or you can change the layout by installing additional beam levels. Either way, you keep the same familiar warehouse racking system and expand only when it makes sense.

What is included in the starter bay

This starter bay (also known as a base section or starter unit) is built from two end frames and six pallet rack beams. The beam connections are supplied with safety locks to support correct installation and reduce the risk of accidental beam lift‑out during daily use. Each end frame is supplied with the key frame components needed for assembly, including uprights, bracing, base plates, washers and fixing accessories.

The configuration is intended for 12 Euro pallet positions: three pallets across and four pallet positions in height (floor storage plus three adjustable beam levels). Load capacity is up to 1020 kg per pallet location, and the maximum level load is 3070 kg.

Built for stable pallet storage and daily warehouse use

In most warehouses, pallet racking has to handle repeated in‑and‑out movement every day. That is why the structure matters: the end frames provide the stable “skeleton” of the bay, and the beams carry the pallet loads while keeping clear access from the aisle. The included safety locks help keep beam connections secure, supporting safe operation in busy forklift areas.

Because the system is adjustable pallet racking, you can set beam heights to suit your pallet load height and packaging style. The racking uses a 50 mm height adjustment pitch, which makes it easier to fine‑tune clearances when your product mix changes or when you want to optimise pick faces for faster replenishment.

Designed for efficient forklift handling

Pallet racking is typically serviced with forklift trucks, so the racking bay geometry needs to work with real‑world handling: consistent pallet placement, clear beam levels and predictable access improve the rhythm of loading, unloading and replenishment.

• For mixed warehouses it improves safety: pallets have a defined home, and the rack keeps them off the floor and out of walkways.
• Second, it improves control: you can allocate locations, label them and build routines around them.

Add‑on bays and extra beam levels

This is a starter bay (base section), meaning it is designed to stand on its own and also act as the first bay in a longer pallet racking run. If you need more pallet positions later, you can extend the line with compatible add‑on bays that share frames between bays. That approach keeps the footprint consistent and helps you scale storage without replacing the original starter bay.

You can also adapt the vertical layout by adding more beam levels. That is useful when pallet heights change over time or when you want to separate products into more levels for clearer organisation.

Accessories for different loads and workflows

Many warehouses store palletised goods alongside boxes, cages, returnable containers or irregular items that still need a stable, designated place. In those cases, pallet racking can be equipped with compatible accessories such as intermediate support beams, shelf decking, wire mesh decks or pull‑out units. These options help you use the same pallet racking bay for a wider range of stock while keeping the working area tidy and consistent.

Clear marking is another low‑effort improvement that pays back quickly. Location signs, label holders, rail label profiles and rack labels help reduce picking mistakes and speed up training for new staff. When every location is easy to identify from the aisle, the warehouse runs smoother, especially during seasonal peaks or when you are doing frequent replenishment.

Safety add‑ons and protection in forklift areas

Even well‑run warehouses have occasional “close calls”, and racking is often located exactly where impacts are most likely. That is why protection accessories are worth considering early, not after the first bent upright. Depending on your layout and traffic, you can protect the structure with impact guards, tunnel protection for walkways and safety mesh panels that reduce the risk of goods falling into aisles or pedestrian routes.

Standards and adjustability

Together with the 50 mm height adjustment, this supports a modular racking layout that can be tuned to different load heights and storage practices.
