The Senator is a Eurograde 1 safe tested to EN 1143-1 (Grade I) and fire-tested to EN 15659 LFS 30P. This combination makes it a reliable choice for companies that want everyday security without compromising on certification.
EN 1143-1 is the European test that measures a safe’s resistance to burglary. Independent laboratories attempt to break into the cabinet using specified tools and methods, and the results are expressed as a grade. Grade I (also written as Grade 1 or Euro Grade 1) indicates a strong, professional level of protection for commercial use. It is a higher level of burglary resistance than security cabinets certified only to EN 14450.
In addition to burglary protection, the Senator provides 30-minute fire protection for paper documents. The LFS 30P classification under EN 15659 confirms that the interior stays within the temperature limits required for paper for half an hour in a standardised furnace test. This helps preserve contracts, invoices, personnel files and day-to-day records long enough for the fire to be brought under control.
The base model is supplied with a high-security key lock for straightforward, low-maintenance operation. Where audit control or PIN management is preferred, an electronic lock can be specified as an option. Both locking options are fully compatible with the Senator’s EN 1143-1 Grade I burglary-resistant construction.
The smallest model, often referred to as Senator M1, provides a practical 32 l internal capacity within external dimensions of 370 x 500 x 403 mm. That is sufficient space for cash boxes, binders, passports and small valuables while keeping the unit compact enough for under-counter, back-office or manager’s office installation. The cabinet weight is 119 kg, giving secure mass and stability.
Every safe performs best when it is anchored. The Senator is supplied with provisions for floor fixing, allowing installers to bolt the cabinet to a suitable substrate to resist tipping, removal and forced levering. Anchoring is particularly important in retail and light industrial environments where opportunistic attacks and attempted removal are real risks.
