Treston 1630 storage bin cabinet for small parts storage

Small fittings, spare parts and production consumables slow work down when they are spread across shelves, cartons or loose boxes. The Treston 1630 storage bin cabinet gives those parts a fixed place and keeps them visible for daily picking. It is a compact 300 mm deep cabinet with 16 separate 3010 shelf bins, designed for workshops, stores, maintenance areas, production facilities, warehouses and industrial workstations.

What is included in the Treston 1630 storage bin cabinet?

The product includes a sturdy steel frame, 16 Treston 3010 shelf bins and labels with protective shields. The frame is made from grey powder-coated steel, colour RAL 7045, and the stock bin colour is blue. Red and grey bin colours are also available as alternatives. The cabinet is supplied as a complete bin cabinet unit, so it can be taken into use as a small parts storage point without building a separate shelving bay around it.

Flexible mounting: wall, floor stack or stand

The steel frame can be used in several ways. It can be fixed to a wall, stacked on the floor with other compatible cabinets or placed in a suitable stand. This makes the same cabinet suitable for a single maintenance point, a row of workstation storage, a store room wall or a larger rotating storage system. Wall mounting keeps small parts close to the operator and clears bench space. Stacking is useful when several cabinets are needed in one compact area. A stand is a good option when the bins must be accessible from a central location.

For larger storage needs, the separately ordered rotating stands offer very high bin density. The 16-300 stand is designed for 16 pcs of 300 mm deep storage bin cabinets and has dimensions of 700 x 700 x 1680 mm. The 16-400 stand is designed for 16 pcs of 400 mm deep storage bin cabinets and has dimensions of 800 x 800 x 1680 mm. A rotating stand for bin cabinets can provide storage for up to 1792 different items on a small floor area, and the stand load capacity is 800 kg. The stand should be selected according to cabinet depth.

Treston shelf bins make picking easier

The 3010 shelf bins are made for efficient small parts handling. Their straight sides help use the available space well, because the inner shape does not waste room. The corrugated base helps prevent contents from sliding around and makes even small items easier to pick from the bottom of the bin. Each bin has space for a front label, and the included protective shields help keep labels clean and readable. Clear marking reduces unnecessary searching and makes the cabinet easier to use for more than one person or one shift.

Durable materials for industrial use

The coloured Treston shelf bins are polypropylene (PP). Their temperature resistance is -20 … +75°C, and they withstand oils, most acids, alkalis and solvents. This makes them suitable for many normal industrial, workshop and warehouse environments where bins may be handled daily and exposed to typical substances used around machines, maintenance tasks and production work. The grey steel frame gives the cabinet a stable outer structure and protects the bin layout from becoming loose or uneven in regular use.

Cross dividers and bin organisation

D-10 cross dividers can be ordered separately for the 3010 bins used in this cabinet. They are made from polystyrene and are used to divide a bin into smaller sections. This is helpful when one bin needs to hold several related items, such as different screw lengths, connector sizes or small service parts. For this product, D-10 is the correct divider type. D-10 dividers are used with 92 mm wide bin types 3010, 4010 and 5010. Wider 186 mm bin types 3020, 4020, 5020 and 6020 use D-20 dividers.

Fits shelves, cabinets, paternosters and workstations

Treston shelf bins are dimensioned for standard shelves, cabinets, paternosters and industrial workstations. The 1630 cabinet brings those bins into a ready steel frame, which is useful when the storage location needs to be tidy, compact and easy to move into a planned layout. It can serve as a standalone small parts cabinet, but it can also be part of a broader storage system with several cabinets, stands and bin sizes.
