BO‑7 Swing Steel Strapping Tool brings tensioning, locking and cutting into one compact, aluminium‑bodied unit. Designed for day‑to‑day steel strapping on heavy bundles and pallets, the tool forms a robust triple‑notch sealless joint, so no separate metal seals are needed. That means fewer consumables to manage, less walking, and faster turnaround at the packing bench.

The BO‑7 Swing is a manual sealless steel strapping tool that lets one operator tension, seal and cut steel strap with a single compact device. With a service weight of just 3.8 kg, the aluminium body is easy to move between benches and pallets. The tool creates a triple‑notch sealless joint directly in the strap, so there are no loose metal seals to store, carry or fit. The outcome is a cleaner workflow with fewer steps, a consistent joint every time and less downtime caused by hunting for consumables.
Steel strap remains the standard where maximum system strength, heat resistance and edge protection are required. BO‑7 Swing is designed for those jobs: securing heavy bundles, fabricated parts, steel profiles, crates or pallets that need a high‑integrity joint and tight strap. The compact footprint gives the operator a clear line of sight to the joint area, and the balanced handle layout makes it straightforward to keep the tool flat on the load while tensioning and sealing.
The tool accepts 13–20 mm steel strap with strap thickness from 0.4–0.8 mm. This covers the most common steel banding sizes used for general engineering, metalworking, sawmills and distribution. Within that range you can select the strap grade appropriate for the job, then use the tool to apply controlled tension and form the triple‑notch joint. Because the joint is sealless, there are no separate clips to match to each strap size, which simplifies stocking and reduces packaging waste at the workstation.
A sealless combination tool removes two sources of inefficiency that appear in many strapping stations: multiple tools and metal seals. Instead of moving between a separate tensioner, sealer and cutter, the operator completes the cycle in one place with a single device. And because the BO‑7 Swing forms the joint directly in the strap, there is no need to handle or reorder seal stock. In day‑to‑day use, that means fewer trips across the floor and more time with the pallet on the bench, which adds up to faster, more repeatable packing.
The joint produced by the BO‑7 Swing is formed by punching three interlocking notches through overlapping strap layers. This ‘triple‑notch’ geometry is widely used in steel strapping because it provides high static strength without the added thickness and potential slippage of separate metal seals. A properly made sealless joint also sits flatter on the package, which reduces snagging and helps stacks sit square in storage or on a truck bed.
