LS3 is a modular longspan shelving system with long beam spans and flexible sizing. In English it is also commonly referred to as wide span shelving or widespan shelving. It is often classed as medium duty shelving and suits everything from low, hand-loaded bays to higher warehouse installations where stability and dependable load performance matter. Because the components are compatible across the system, you can build the layout you need today and adapt it later without having to replace the whole installation.

Where LS3 longspan shelving works best

This type of industrial shelving is a strong fit for storage that is handled by hand: cartons, spare parts, packaging materials, maintenance stock, tools, long items and other bulky goods that do not sit neatly on standard small-parts shelves. It is also commonly used in dispatch and packing areas where you want wide shelf openings and clear access to goods during pick and pack work.

LS3 longspan shelving can be used in warehouses, production and assembly areas, stockrooms, retail back-of-house environments and even offices where you need industrial strength with a neat appearance. Finishes, appearance and compliance

LS3 uprights are electro-galvanised, giving a clean finish that is easy to keep presentable in everyday use. The beams are finished in a light grey colour, RAL 9002, which supports a clear, uniform look across the installation. Other colours can be used when required.

The shelving system is designed and tested according to FEM 10.2.06 rules. In day-to-day terms, that means the design is aligned with recognised requirements for load performance and safe use. Always make sure loads are evenly distributed and that the chosen configuration matches the real weights of the goods you store.

Load capacity depends on the chosen beam span and the shelf construction. The figures below are given per beam pair and per shelf level (with steel shelves), based on evenly distributed loads. If you store point loads or unusually heavy items, review the configuration carefully.
