Large mobile height-adjustable work table for assembly and picking

In assembly, picking, packing and inspection work, the most useful table is often the one that can be placed exactly where the task is being done. This large mobile height-adjustable work table gives operators an adjustable auxiliary table that can be rolled between workstations, set to a comfortable height and tilted when a better working angle is needed. Its strength is not in complicated technology, but in the combination of three simple adjustments: height, angle and position. The operator can move the table to the right place, lift or lower the worktop with the gas spring and set the tilting worktop to suit the task.

Gas spring height adjustment

The worktop height can be adjusted by gas spring between 720 and 960 mm. The gas spring height adjustment supports both seated and standing work, which is important in assembly work and picking work where posture can change from one task to the next. The gas spring height adjustment is quick to use, so operators do not need to work for long periods at a poor height just because the table is difficult to set. A height-adjustable work table also helps when the items being handled vary in size. A lower setting can be better for heavier or larger items that need careful control. A higher setting can bring smaller parts, paperwork or tools closer to the operator’s hands and eyes.

Tilting worktop with stepless 0–20° adjustment

The tilting worktop adjusts steplessly from 0 to 20°. Instead of forcing the operator to bend over a flat surface, the table top can be set to a slight angle for a better view of the workpiece or document. This is useful when screws, markings, labels, small parts or inspection points must be seen clearly. A small tilt can also make hand positioning easier in tasks where the wrists and neck would otherwise be under strain. Because the tilt is stepless, the angle does not need to be chosen from a few fixed positions. It can serve as an extra surface beside a main workbench, as a support table near a machine or as a mobile additional work surface in a production cell.

Four swivel castors make the table easy to move. The 75 mm castors allow the mobile work table to be positioned between benches, beside shelving, close to a packing point or next to the operator on a production line. This is useful when the workflow changes, when temporary extra table space is needed, or when materials must be moved a short distance without carrying them by hand. All four castors are fitted with brakes. Once the table is in the right position, the brakes help keep it steady while work is carried out. This is especially important when the worktop is tilted or when the table is being used for assembly work, labelling or picking work that requires both hands.
