Polyethylene IBC spill pallet for one or two IBC containers

An IBC leak can spread quickly across a warehouse or production floor. This polyethylene IBC spill pallet creates a defined secondary containment area beneath the container, helping to collect drips, splashes and accidental leakage before the liquid reaches the surrounding work area. It is available in two versions: one for a single 1,000 litre IBC and one for two 1,000 litre IBCs placed side by side.

Both models provide a 1,150 litre sump capacity and a 3,000 kg load capacity. The blue, one-piece body is made from 100% polyethylene, and the removable plastic grid makes inspection and cleaning more straightforward. Four-way forklift pockets also make the unit easier to approach and position in busy industrial environments.

What is an IBC spill pallet used for?

The main purpose of an IBC spill pallet is to keep escaped liquid within a controlled area. When an IBC valve drips, a hose connection leaks or liquid is splashed during dispensing, the grid allows the liquid to pass into the sump below. This helps keep the container above the collected liquid and makes it easier to manage the incident in line with the site’s spill-control procedure.

One-piece polyethylene construction

The IBC sump pallet is rotationally moulded as a one-piece body from 100% polyethylene (PE). This seamless construction avoids welded joints in the sump body and reduces the number of potential weak points. Polyethylene is also well suited to demanding industrial environments because it does not rust and offers good resistance to many commonly handled liquids. The material is suitable for use with many oils, acidic solutions and many alkalis. Chemical compatibility must still be checked for the exact substance, concentration and operating conditions before use.

Four-way forklift access for practical positioning

Fork pockets are provided on all four sides. This four-way forklift access gives the operator more choice when approaching the IBC spill pallet, which is useful where aisles are narrow or equipment is positioned close to walls, machinery or other storage stations. It can reduce the need to turn the pallet before it reaches its intended location.

Removable plastic grid for easier cleaning

The IBC container stands on a removable plastic grid above the sump. Small leaks and drips can pass through the openings, leaving the upper surface clearer while the liquid is collected below. When inspection or cleaning is needed, the grid can be removed to give better access to the inside of the sump.
