The EFA L fibreglass single ladder is a lightweight access solution for electrical work and chemically demanding environments. Its stiles and rungs are made from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester, giving the ladder high chemical resistance while keeping it easy to carry. The 6-rung model weighs only 5.6 kg.
This professional fibreglass ladder has a 420 mm outside width and serrated 30 mm rungs for stable access. Replaceable feet made from a high-friction, two-component rubber compound help the ladder maintain secure contact with a suitable, clean surface.
The 14-rung version includes a 0.9 m stabiliser bar in accordance with DIN EN 131-1.

When access work takes place around electrical equipment or in a chemically demanding area, the ladder material matters. The EFA L fibreglass single ladder combines low weight with a professional 150 kg load capacity. Built as a professional fibreglass ladder, it is intended for electrical and chemical environments where a standard metal ladder may not be the right choice.
Both the stiles and the rungs are made from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, commonly known as GRP or fibreglass. The 6-rung model weighs just 5.6 kg, so it can be moved efficiently between work areas. The 10-rung version weighs 8.6 kg, while the 14-rung version weighs 12.4 kg. This low product weight is useful when the ladder is carried repeatedly during installation, inspection or maintenance work.
Despite its low weight, every size has a maximum load capacity of 150 kg and complies with EN 131 Professional. The load limit applies to the total load on the ladder. The selected size and access method should always match the task, the working environment and the site’s risk assessment.
The GRP stiles and rungs make the EFA L suitable for use in electrical environments. This non-conductive fibreglass ladder is suitable for live working up to 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC. It also complies with the high-voltage test for ladders made from insulating material under DIN EN 61478 or VDE 0682, Section 6.5, Category 1/30 kV.
These ratings make the EFA L relevant for trained professionals working around electrical installations, control equipment and industrial maintenance systems. They do not replace electrical isolation, personal protective equipment, a risk assessment or local safe-working procedures. The ladder must be inspected and used within all stated limits before any electrical task begins.
Glass-fibre-reinforced polyester gives the EFA L high chemical resistance. This makes the fibreglass ladder suitable for many industrial and process environments where chemical exposure is an important part of equipment selection. Resistance to ageing is specified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4892-2.
Replaceable foot caps are made from a high-friction, two-component rubber compound. They help maintain contact with a suitable surface and can be replaced when worn. The feet, rungs and stiles should be checked as part of the routine pre-use inspection. Dirt, oil, moisture and surface irregularities can reduce grip and must be addressed before the ladder is set up.
| Number of rungs | Overall length | Working height | Weight | Stabiliser bar |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 1.92 m | 2.80 m | 5.6 kg | Not included |
| 10 | 2.993 m | 3.85 m | 8.6 kg | Not included |
| 14 | 4.16 m | 4.95 m | 12.4 kg | 0.9 m |
The 14-rung EFA L includes the 0.9 m stabiliser bar in accordance with DIN EN 131-1. Working height is a reference value rather than the only selection criterion.
