ReTee wide platform steps combine the generous standing area of a work platform with the direct access of a stepladder. The 760 x 400 mm working platform gives more room to adjust your position during professional maintenance, installation and construction tasks. Its perforated surface provides grip and allows water to drain away.
These Finnish-made aluminium platform steps are built for regular professional use. TPE anti-slip feet support a firm setup, while the upper support frame provides a handhold at the platform. The product meets EN 131. For construction-site use in Finland at platform heights above 1 metre, select a P model with stabiliser bars to meet the applicable requirements of Finnish Government Decree 205/2009.

When an ordinary stepladder leaves too little standing room but a larger access system would be excessive, ReTee wide platform steps fill the gap. They combine a broad standing surface with straightforward stepped access in one compact product. The design is intended for professional tasks in warehouses, maintenance areas, workshops and construction environments where the risk assessment confirms that platform steps are suitable.
The 760 x 400 mm working platform is the main difference. Its 760 mm width gives the user more lateral standing room than a conventional narrow ladder platform. This makes it easier to find a practical position for inspection, fitting and light maintenance tasks. The extra width does not remove the need to work within the frame of the steps or avoid overreaching, but it provides a genuinely useful standing area.
The working platform has a perforated, deep-drawn surface designed to provide grip underfoot. The oval openings also allow water that reaches the platform to drain away instead of remaining on the standing surface. This is useful when the platform steps are used in changing conditions or moved between indoor and outdoor work areas. The equipment must still be checked before use, and any contamination that could reduce grip should be removed.
At 400 mm deep, the platform provides a clear standing area, while the 760 mm width leaves more room across the ladder. In practical terms, ReTee combines the broader footing associated with a work trestle and the direct climb of a step ladder. It works well for short-duration professional tasks that require a steady position at the selected platform height.
Access to the platform is provided by 80 mm deep grooved steps. The tread depth gives the foot more contact area than a narrow rung, while the grooved finish adds texture to the climbing surface. Together, these details support a controlled ascent and descent when the platform step ladder is set up and used correctly.
A built-in accessory tray is located at the top of the ReTee platform steps. It provides a convenient place for small items needed during the task, such as a pencil, screwdriver or a small set of fixings. Keeping these items in the tool tray can reduce unnecessary trips up and down and leaves the working platform clear for the user.
The aluminium frame is made in Finland and is designed for regular professional use. The construction keeps the steps relatively light to handle yet sturdy in daily work, making them practical professional platform steps for changing work locations. Aluminium also offers useful corrosion resistance in varied working environments. TPE anti-slip feet help the ladder maintain contact with the supporting surface when the floor is clean, firm and level. The upper support frame gives the user a handhold when stepping onto the platform and while taking position for the task. The knee-support height is 640 mm.
ReTee platform steps meet EN 131. For construction-site use in Finland, the choice between the standard model and a P model must also take the platform height into account. When the platform is more than 1 metre high, the P version with stabiliser bars must be selected to meet the applicable requirements of the Finnish Government Decree on the Safety of Construction Work 205/2009 (VNa 205/2009).
The stabiliser bars increase the support width at floor level. They are available with the two taller step counts and are supplied separately for installation. Fit them in accordance with the supplied assembly instructions before the platform ladder is put into service. A stabiliser bar is a safety component, so the equipment should not be used if the required bar is missing, damaged or incorrectly attached.
