Adjustable ladder leveller for steps and uneven ground

When the two sides of a ladder stand at different heights, even a routine job can become difficult to set up. A staircase, a sloping yard or an uneven work area may leave one ladder stile unsupported or place the ladder out of level. This adjustable ladder leveller compensates for the difference at the base of a compatible ladder. It provides up to 375 mm of adjustment, removing the need for loose blocks or improvised wedges.

This practical ladder accessory is intended for professional maintenance, installation and repair work. Its rubber-coated foot helps provide grip and protects the supporting surface from direct metal contact. When the two support points are not at the same level, it gives a suitable ladder a purpose-made point of support.

What the ladder stile extension is designed to do

A ladder needs firm support beneath both stiles. On a level floor, the original feet normally provide that support at the same height. On steps or uneven ground, one side may need to reach farther down. The ladder stile extension adds length on the lower side, helping the ladder stand level from side to side while it is positioned at the correct working angle.

This adjustable ladder leg is for compensating for a difference in ground height. It is not intended to increase the ladder’s working height or to make an unsuitable ladder longer. The ladder itself must still be the correct type and size for the task, and it must be used in accordance with its own instructions.

375 mm adjustment for changing work locations

A maximum adjustment range of 375 mm makes the ladder leveller useful for more than minor floor irregularities. It can help when a ladder must be positioned across different stair treads or where a firm outdoor surface changes height beneath the base. Because the extension is adjustable, the same accessory can be set for different locations rather than being limited to one fixed height difference.

Rubber-coated foot adds grip

The foot at the bottom of the ladder leveller has a rubber coating. This adds friction where the extension meets concrete, asphalt, timber or another firm supporting surface. It also helps protect finished floors from scratches caused by direct metal contact.

A controlled alternative to improvised wedges

Loose timber, bricks and other makeshift supports are not part of the ladder and can move during use. A purpose-made ladder stile extension attaches to the compatible ladder, so the height compensation does not rely on loose material beneath the foot. The setup is then easier to repeat and inspect when work moves from one location to another.
