Once used wet batteries start to build up, an ordinary storage bin is not the right place for them. The collection point needs a robust solution that can take the weight, tolerate contact with chemicals and fit into the site’s handling routine. This 610 L used battery storage and transport box is intended for the collection and recycling of used wet batteries. It combines a 600 kg maximum load with a stackable design and three runners for forklift handling. The box is UV resistant and offers excellent chemical resistance.

A practical collection point for used wet batteries

A dedicated used battery storage box gives staff a clear place for batteries awaiting recycling. It keeps the collection process organised and helps reduce loose handling around workshops, warehouses, maintenance areas and recycling points. The large 610 L capacity is useful where batteries are collected regularly or where several heavy units must be kept together before onward transport.

Wet batteries can be damaged during use, removal or handling. If a casing fails, electrolyte may leak and affect the surrounding area. That is why a purpose-built battery collection container matters. It should suit the battery chemistry, provide enough space for the load and stand where it can be handled without unnecessary movement.

Chemical resistance for battery collection

Battery storage equipment must tolerate the substances it may encounter. The excellent chemical resistance of this battery box is therefore an important feature for used wet battery collection. It helps the box remain suitable for its intended working environment when correct handling and cleaning procedures are followed.

The construction is also UV resistant, which helps the box cope with daylight during day-to-day handling. Even so, UV resistance does not replace good battery storage practice. Used batteries should still be kept away from direct sunlight and from locations that become very hot or very cold. A dry, cool and controlled area is the better choice.

Three runners for forklift handling

The box has three runners at the base. They provide a stable support surface and allow the 610 L used battery storage box to be moved with a forklift. This becomes especially useful once the box contains heavy batteries and manual movement is no longer practical.

Stackable battery boxes save floor space

Where floor space is limited, the boxes can be stacked up to five high. The stated maximum stack load is 3,000 kg. This makes it possible to organise empty boxes or a planned storage arrangement in a smaller footprint.
