Bolt-down anti-slip plate for surfaces where tape will not hold

Some slip-risk areas are difficult to treat with ordinary adhesive tape. The surface may be damp, porous, rough or slightly uneven, preventing the adhesive from forming a dependable bond. This bolt-down aluminium anti-slip plate solves that problem by combining a coarse abrasive surface with a rigid aluminium base that is secured mechanically. It gives pedestrians a defined area of extra traction without relying on adhesive alone to hold the product to the substrate.

The plate measures 635 × 115 mm and has six pre-drilled fixing holes. Its narrow format makes it practical for steps, ramps, walkways and other pedestrian routes where grip is needed at a specific point. Two surface options are available: black for a restrained appearance and black/yellow hazard stripes for areas that also need to attract attention.

Why use a bolt-down anti-slip plate?

Self-adhesive anti-slip tape works best on a clean, dry and stable surface. On damp timber, porous concrete or suitable textured metal, achieving that condition may be difficult. Dust, moisture and surface irregularities can all weaken an adhesive bond. A screw-fixed plate takes a different approach: the mechanical fasteners hold the aluminium base in position while the coarse upper surface provides traction underfoot.

This makes the bolt-down anti-slip plate a useful option when the installation area can accept screws but is not suitable for tape alone. It can also simplify local repairs. Instead of treating a complete floor or stairway, the plate can be placed at the identified slip-risk point, provided that the selected position and installation method are suitable for the site.

Six fixing holes for secure installation

Each 635 × 115 mm aluminium anti-slip plate has six pre-drilled fixing points distributed along its length. Using all six points helps hold the plate evenly against the substrate and reduces movement at the edges. The correct screws and, where required, anchors must be chosen for the surface beneath the plate.

Coarse R13 anti-slip surface

The upper face uses a coarse abrasive surface made with aluminium oxide particles. This surface is rated R13 under DIN 51130, giving it a high level of slip resistance for footwear. The textured finish helps the sole of a shoe or safety boot maintain contact in areas where the floor may become slippery.

Black or black/yellow hazard-striped finish

The black option keeps the installation visually simple. It is suitable where the main aim is to add traction without introducing a prominent colour marker. The black/yellow version combines the same practical anti-slip function with a contrasting hazard pattern that helps draw attention to the treated area. Hazard stripes can be useful at step edges, changes in level and other points where a visual cue supports the site’s wider safety marking system.
