Treston CTRL control room desks are made for workstations where concentration, clear screen visibility and ergonomic working position matter throughout the shift. The range is suitable for industrial control rooms, energy sector monitoring, security centres and IT environments where operators work with several displays and equipment at the same desk.
Electric height adjustment is available for seated and standing work, with adjustment ranges depending on the model:
In the larger Treston CTRL control room desk models, the front work surface and rear monitor level can be adjusted separately, helping the operator set screens, keyboards and controls in a practical position. Load capacity is up to 400 kg on the main worktop, depending on the selected model.
The range includes three standard Treston CTRL models and can also be built into a customer-specific control room workstation. Accessories such as monitor holders, lighting, computer shelves, work chairs and acoustic panels help create a tidy, focused and comfortable control room desk solution.

In a monitoring environment, the desk affects how clearly operators see information, how easily they reach controls and how well the workstation supports long periods of focused work. Treston CTRL control room desks are developed for exactly these conditions: industrial control rooms, energy and utility monitoring, security and surveillance centres, IT rooms, network monitoring and other technical environments where work needs to continue smoothly from one shift to the next.
The Treston CTRL range combines electric height adjustment, strong work surfaces and practical monitor support in a modular control room workstation. It is a desk that can be adapted for seated work, standing work and shared use by different operators. This is especially useful in control rooms where one workstation may be used by several people during the day and where screens, computers and control equipment must stay in a clear, orderly layout.
Ergonomics is one of the main reasons to choose a height-adjustable control room desk. In everyday use, it works as a sit-stand control room desk, supporting both sitting and standing work and making it easier to change posture during long shifts. Depending on the model, the electric height adjustment range is 630–1270 mm, 650–1290 mm or 730–1130 mm. This gives the user room to set the working height according to the task, the chair, the monitors and the equipment placed on the desk.
In the two larger Treston CTRL control room desks, the front work surface and the rear monitor level can be adjusted separately. This helps keep the keyboard and working surface at a comfortable height while the displays can be positioned at a suitable viewing level. On Treston CTRL control room desk 2, the front and rear surfaces can also be adjusted together when a synchronised movement is preferred.
Control room furniture often carries more than a normal office desk. Multiple monitors, mounting arms, keyboards, communication devices, computers and other technical equipment can place a heavy load on the work surface and rear structure. The Treston CTRL control room desk range is designed for this use. Depending on the model, the main worktop load capacity is 200 kg or up to 400 kg, while the rear level in the larger models supports up to 200 kg.
The frames are made from powder-coated steel, and the worktops are high-pressure laminate. This gives the desk a solid, professional structure for industrial and technical environments. The light grey RAL 7035 finish is neutral and easy to combine with other control room furniture. The desks are designed and manufactured in Finland, and the range is built to meet international quality and safety standards.
The range includes three standard models. Each model is aimed at a slightly different layout, from a compact workstation to a wider multi-monitor control room desk. This makes it easier to choose the right starting point before adding accessories or customer-specific changes.
Treston CTRL control room desk 1 is the heavy-duty option for demanding control room workstation setups. It has a 2100 × 800 mm high-pressure laminate front worktop and a 2330 × 400 mm rear level. The height of the front and rear surfaces can be adjusted separately. The rear level includes three depth-adjustable aluminium uprights and six monitor holders, giving plenty of space for a wide screen layout. An under-desk shelf is included for computers and other equipment. The height adjustment range is 730–1130 mm, and the controller has memory positions. The main worktop load capacity is 400 kg and the rear level load capacity is 200 kg.
Treston CTRL control room desk 2 is a versatile choice for a wide control room desk with four monitor holders as standard. It has the same 2100 × 800 mm front worktop and 2330 × 400 mm rear level, both with 25 mm laminate surfaces. The rear structure includes two laterally adjustable aluminium uprights, which helps place different-sized monitors in a clear line of sight. A third upright and additional monitor holders can be added in the centre when more screen capacity is needed. The under-desk shelf provides a place for computers and accessories. The height adjustment range is 650–1290 mm, and both the main worktop and rear level have a load capacity of 200 kg.
Treston CTRL control room desk 3 is the compact model for control rooms where floor space is limited or where a smaller operator workstation is enough. It has an 1800 × 800 mm high-pressure laminate worktop, aluminium upper structures and three monitor holders. The electric height adjustment range is 630–1270 mm, and the worktop load capacity is 200 kg. Additional intermediate supports can be added if more monitor holders are required, giving the compact desk room to adapt as the workstation develops.
The three standard models cover many control room layouts, but some projects require a more tailored solution. Treston CTRL control room desks can be specified as customer-specific workstation combinations when the room layout, number of screens, equipment placement or operator needs call for something beyond a standard model. This is useful when designing a new control room or updating an existing one where the furniture must fit around existing systems.
The Treston CTRL range can be complemented with accessories that help organise equipment and improve everyday use. Monitor holders keep screens off the work surface and make the viewing area easier to set up. Lighting solutions support visibility at the workstation. Computer shelves can free floor space, reduce cable clutter and make cleaning around the desk easier. Suitable work chairs help complete the workstation for operators who spend long periods at the desk. Acoustic panels can also be used to create a calmer working area. By combining the control room desk with the right accessories, the workstation can be kept tidy, practical and easier to use throughout the working day.
