HI280 shelving is often chosen because it is flexible. You can build runs of shelving, adapt the layout as stock changes and add accessories when you need a more specialised storage solution. The tyre shelf level follows the same idea: you add it to an existing HI280 bay to create a dedicated tyre storage position without rebuilding the whole rack.
