Treston Drawer Unit 130/140-4 for demanding tool and parts storage

When tools, spare parts and measuring equipment are kept in several different places, work slows down and items go missing. The Treston Drawer Unit 130/140-4 brings that storage into one strong, lockable frame. This industrial drawer cabinet is built around a large powder-coated steel frame measuring 1310 x 715 x 1400 mm. The height gives plenty of storage volume without spreading parts across several separate cabinets. The wide drawer layout also makes it easier to keep similar items together.

Ten drawers with a practical height combination

The Drawer Unit 130/140-4 includes ten drawers:

This mix gives useful flexibility for both small and larger items. The shallow drawers work well for hand tools, fasteners, gauges, small spare parts and other items that need to stay visible. The deeper drawers give room for larger tools, boxes, maintenance parts or components that are too high for a standard shallow drawer. Internal drawer dimensions are 1226 x 612 x 49 / 74 / 124 / 224 mm, depending on the drawer height. The long and wide drawer format makes this steel drawer unit especially useful when you want to store tools in clear rows instead of stacking them in deep cupboards. Stored items are easier to see, pick and return to the correct place.

Central locking keeps tools and components under control

A lockable drawer unit is important when tools, measuring instruments, spare parts or production components must stay in the right place. This model has central locking with a key, so the drawers can be secured from one lock point. Two keys are included with the drawer unit. The lock does not replace site access control or normal safety routines, but it helps reduce unnecessary access and keeps valuable equipment better organised outside working hours.

Heavy-duty steel drawer unit for daily industrial use

The frame is made from powder-coated steel, which is a sensible material for professional storage furniture in workshops and warehouses. It handles normal industrial use better than light office furniture and is easy to keep clean. The blue drawer fronts and light frame give the unit a clear, workshop-ready appearance, and the construction is intended for environments where cabinets are opened and closed many times a day.

Each drawer is designed for a load capacity of 75 kg or 200 kg, depending on the selected version. The 75 kg version suits many common tool storage and small parts storage needs. The 200 kg version is the stronger choice when the drawers need to hold heavier tools, machine parts or dense metal components. As with any heavy-duty drawer unit, the load should be placed sensibly, heavier items should be stored low when possible, and the workplace’s own safety instructions should always be followed.

The drawers open fully, which helps users reach items at the back without emptying the front of the drawer first. Full access is a major advantage in a wide drawer cabinet because it keeps the full drawer space usable. It also makes stock checks, cleaning and reorganisation easier when the content of each drawer can be seen clearly.

Easy to move when the layout changes

Workshop and warehouse layouts rarely stay the same forever. Production lines are moved, maintenance points are rearranged and storage areas are updated. The Drawer Unit 130/140-4 is designed with this in mind. The front and rear plinth plates can be removed for forklift or pallet truck relocation, making it easier to move the unit from one place to another when needed. Levelling feet help position the drawer unit correctly on floors that are not perfectly even. This is useful in older industrial buildings, repair workshops and warehouses where concrete floors may have small variations. A straight, stable drawer cabinet is easier to use and gives a better working feel when drawers are opened and closed repeatedly during the day.

Choose the right drawer load capacity and layout

The Drawer Unit 130/140-4 is available in versions with 75 kg or 200 kg drawer load capacity. Choosing between them depends on what will be stored in the drawers. For ordinary hand tools, small spare parts and lighter maintenance supplies, the 75 kg version is often enough. For heavy-duty tools, metal parts or dense components, the 200 kg version gives more capacity per drawer. The drawer height combination is already versatile, but other drawer combinations are also available when the storage need is different.
