EFA B double-sided fibreglass stepladder for electrical work

Electrical installation and industrial maintenance can place very different demands on access equipment. A ladder may need to provide reliable electrical insulation, withstand exposure in a chemically demanding area and remain stable during regular professional use. The EFA B double-sided fibreglass stepladder is built for that combination. The ladder has rungs on both sides and can be climbed from either direction.

GRP construction for demanding work areas

The stiles and rungs are manufactured from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, commonly known as GRP or fibreglass. This material provides the insulating properties needed in electrical environments and offers high chemical resistance. That makes the EFA B a practical alternative where an aluminium ladder would be unsuitable because metal conducts electricity.

Double-sided fibreglass stepladder access with 30 × 30 mm rungs

The rungs measure 30 × 30 mm and are fitted to both ladder sections. Double-sided access is useful when the direction of approach changes or when equipment occupies one side of the work area. Instead of working around a fixed climbing face, the ladder can be set up so that the more practical side is available.

The maximum load capacity is 150 kg. The load limit includes the user together with tools, clothing and any materials carried on the ladder, so the total working load must remain within the stated capacity.

Perlon straps help prevent splay

Strong Perlon straps connect the two ladder sections and help prevent them from sliding too far apart. When the fibreglass stepladder is opened correctly, the straps limit splay and support the intended operating position. Their straightforward construction is easy to inspect as part of a routine pre-use check.

Replaceable high-grip end caps

Each stile is fitted with a replaceable two-component end cap. The high-grip construction helps the feet maintain contact with the floor, while the caps sit firmly in the stiles. Because they can be replaced, worn feet can be renewed without replacing the complete ladder.
