EFAmix B double-sided fibreglass step ladder for electrical and chemical environments

The EFAmix B double-sided fibreglass step ladder gives maintenance and installation teams a stable, easy-to-handle access solution for demanding industrial areas. It is intended for work in electrical and chemical environments, where the choice of ladder material matters as much as secure footing. Insulating side stiles made from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester are combined with wide aluminium rungs.

Insulating GRP stiles for electrical maintenance

The glass-fibre-reinforced polyester stiles provide a high level of insulation at the sides of the ladder. This makes the EFAmix B fibreglass step ladder suitable for professional tasks in and around electrical installations when it is selected and used according to the relevant safety procedure. The ladder meets the high-voltage test for ladders made from insulating material in accordance with DIN EN 61478 and VDE 0682, Section 6.5, Category 1/30 kV.

Slip-resistant aluminium rungs on both sides

Both sides of this double-sided stepladder can be used for access. That is useful when the direction of approach changes during maintenance or when the ladder must serve adjacent work positions. It can reduce unnecessary repositioning, provided the ladder is set up on a level, suitable surface and the task can be reached without leaning sideways. Each rung is 60 mm deep and made from a lightweight aluminium alloy. The serrated, slip-resistant profile gives work footwear a clear contact surface and supports controlled climbing.

Secure opening with perlon straps and a steel hinge

A double-sided ladder depends on the parts that control its open position. On the EFAmix B GRP stepladder, strong perlon straps connect the two sections and act as the anti-splay restraint. They help keep the ladder at its intended opening angle during use. A robust steel hinge joins the sections at the top and supports repeated folding for transport and storage.

The aluminium rungs are joined to the GRP stiles with high-strength, flanged rung-to-stile connections. This non-twist construction is designed to keep the connection firm under regular professional use. Together, the hinge, straps and flanged joints form a simple structure that is easy to inspect before each shift or task.

High-friction feet for stable positioning

Two-component end caps provide high friction at the floor and seat firmly in the stiles. Their purpose is to reduce unwanted movement when the fibreglass step ladder is correctly opened and loaded on a clean, level surface. The replaceable design also makes routine maintenance more straightforward.

Good material resistance in industrial environments

The glass-fibre-reinforced polyester stiles offer good chemical resistance, making this chemical-resistant stepladder a relevant choice for process areas, production facilities and industrial maintenance locations. Compatibility still depends on the substance, concentration, exposure time and cleaning method.
