Many workstations are built around movement. The worker may stand for part of the task, sit for a short period, turn to take parts from a bin, or lean closer to the work surface for inspection. A normal chair can feel too low or too static in this kind of work. This Finnish-made ergonomic saddle stool is made for that middle ground: it supports a semi-standing working posture while keeping the user mobile and close to the task.

The saddle-shaped seat encourages a more active position than a conventional chair. The user sits slightly higher, with the hips more open and the feet placed naturally on the floor or on the foot support ring in the higher model. This helps the back stay in a more natural position and makes it easier to alternate between sitting and standing during the working day.

Ergonomic saddle stool for semi-standing work

The main purpose of an ergonomic saddle stool is to support the body while the user remains ready to move. The saddle seat gives the thighs room to angle downwards, so the sitting position does not lock the body into the same posture as a standard office chair. This is useful when the task requires good reach, accurate hand work and frequent changes in position.

Each saddle stool includes tilt adjustment as standard. The adjustable seat angle helps the user find a balanced position for the lower back, hips and legs. Star base with castors for easy movement

The stool has a star base with castors. As a saddle stool with castors, it is easy to move close to the workpiece, reach a tool, or slide between nearby workstations without lifting the chair. Smooth movement is important in practical work, because the chair should support the task instead of slowing it down. The castors are intended for industrial use, so the stool can be used in environments where floors may collect dust, dirt or occasional splashes. The mobile base also helps keep the working area flexible. When the work changes, the saddle stool can be moved aside, shared between nearby stations, or brought closer to the workstation when support is needed.

Upholstery options for different working environments

The seat is available with several upholstery options: fabric, genuine leather, synthetic leather and integral polyurethane (PU). This makes it easier to choose the right surface for the way the chair will be used.

This Finnish-made saddle stool is also available as a version with a backrest. The backrest version can be useful when the task includes longer seated periods or when the user wants additional support between active working phases.
