Fixed-wheel machine skates for controlled heavy-load movement
When a heavy machine has to move only a few metres, the job still demands careful control. A fixed-wheel machine skate sits beneath the load and rolls it along a planned route. This product type is also known as a load-moving skate or fixed roller dolly. The range includes five models with load capacities from 1,000 to 6,000 kg.
Fixed rollers for direct routes
The nylon rollers are fixed in one direction. This makes the product best suited to straight-line movement and small, carefully controlled positioning adjustments. If the route includes tight turns or repeated changes of direction, assess whether steerable moving equipment is more suitable.
Nylon rollers spread the load
Each machine skate is fitted with two to eight large nylon rollers, depending on the selected model. The multiple contact points distribute the load and reduce the effect of one concentrated point. This can help limit wear on a suitable floor while keeping the load moving smoothly. Roller count alone is not a guide to capacity, so always use the rating of the selected model.
Ribbed rubber surface supports the load
A ribbed rubber mat covers the top of the skate. It increases friction between the load and the platform, helping the supported item remain in place during controlled movement. The mat also forms a protective layer between the platform and the machine base, reducing the risk of scratches and minor contact damage.
Steel handle for carrying and positioning
The strong steel handle provides a clear grip when carrying the unloaded skate, setting it in position or removing it after use. It is especially useful when the skate needs to be aligned accurately beneath a machine base. Keep hands and feet away from the space below a raised or supported load, and only place or remove the skate as part of a planned lifting procedure.
