A practical handhold above the ladder

A clear handhold can make a noticeable difference when a task takes place above floor level. The ZARGES folding safety rail extends above the top of a compatible double-sided stepladder, giving the user an additional point of support while climbing and working. Its simple shape is easy to recognise and reach. This makes the rail useful in professional environments where a ladder is moved between work areas and used for short maintenance, installation or inspection tasks. The rail is available for compatible ZARGES XLstep B and ZARGES Seventec B stepladders.

Designed for double-sided ZARGES stepladders

XLstep B and Seventec B are double-sided stepladders, so the user can climb from either side. The safety rail sits above the upper part of the ladder and provides a defined place to hold. It is there when stepping up, settling into a working position or beginning the descent.

Additional support without a permanently tall profile

When raised for use, the stepladder safety rail creates an upper handhold without changing the basic double-sided access of the ladder. When the rail is not required, it can be folded down. This keeps the overall shape more compact for movement between work areas and for storage.

Anodised aluminium for regular handling

The rail is made from anodised aluminium. The anodised surface is well suited to equipment that is handled repeatedly because it improves surface durability and supports corrosion resistance. Aluminium also keeps the construction straightforward and consistent with the material commonly used in professional access equipment. This finish is a practical benefit in workshops, warehouses, production areas and construction-related environments, where equipment may be moved frequently and come into contact with work gloves, tools or storage fixtures.
