Galvanised steel shelf panel for longspan shelving
A warehouse shelf may need another solid level, or a panel may need replacing. This galvanised steel shelf panel provides the surface for a longspan shelving system. Each panel is 300 mm wide, with a depth selected to match the upright frame. There are five depths from 400 to 1000 mm. The choice comes down to the frame measurement and the load capacity of the particular panel size.
A steel surface with a zinc coating
The panel is made from electro-galvanised steel sheet. Electro-galvanising adds a zinc coating to the steel and helps protect it against rust. That makes the material a practical choice for a working storage area where shelves are handled regularly. The panel gives boxes, storage bins and other hand-loaded goods a continuous surface to rest on. It covers the open space between the supporting beams, which matters when a shelf needs a flat base rather than an open beam level.
Panel thickness and listed load capacity
Sheet thickness changes with panel depth. The 400, 500 and 600 mm deep versions are made from 0.8 mm steel sheet. The 800 and 1000 mm versions use 1.0 mm steel sheet. The listed load capacity also changes by size.
