Heavy-duty roll container with split-gate access

Large cartons, packaged components and mixed consignments can be difficult to handle when a trolley is too small or access is limited to a full-height opening. This heavy-duty roll container combines a spacious 1200 × 800 mm footprint with a 600 kg load capacity and access at two heights. It is intended for internal material handling where goods need to be moved, kept together and reached without removing the entire load.

The structure consists of three fixed mesh sides and two vertically arranged gate sections on the fourth side. Together, they create a four-sided roll cage while keeping the front practical for loading, order picking and unloading. The electro-galvanised steel tube frame, large format and straightforward castor arrangement make the unit a useful choice for warehouse, production and dispatch work.

Split gate for upper and lower access

A single full-height door can be inconvenient when the load is built in layers. This roll container uses two gate sections positioned one above the other. The upper section provides access to goods higher in the cage, while the lower section gives direct access to the bottom part of the load. Operators can therefore work from the section that matches the current loading or picking height.

The split-gate layout is especially practical for mixed packages. Smaller cartons may be placed above larger items, or the contents may need to be unloaded in a different order from the way they were packed. Access from two heights makes it easier to organise that work without leaving the whole front open. The gates also form the fourth side of the cage, helping keep the load within the roll container during normal internal movement.

Electro-galvanised steel mesh construction

The frame is made from electro-galvanised steel tube. The galvanised finish provides a protective surface suited to regular use in industrial and logistics environments. Mesh walls keep the contents visible, which can help staff identify loads and check the cage before it is moved.

The mesh size is 105 × 305 mm. This open mesh keeps the structure practical and easy to inspect while providing defined sides around the load. When handling small loose items, place them in suitable boxes or containers so they remain securely within the cage.

Two fixed and two swivel castors

Four 100 mm nylon castors carry the roll cage trolley. Two are fixed and two swivel. On straighter runs, the fixed pair helps the unit hold its direction. When the trolley needs to be positioned at a workstation, packing area or dispatch point, the swivel pair provides the steering.

Braked and unbraked versions are available. The braked option is suitable when a castor holding function is useful during stationary loading, unloading or temporary parking. The unbraked model is available for workflows that do not require this feature.
