Noise from a compressor or a busy workbench can carry across a production floor. This industrial noise reduction screen helps separate the noisy task from nearby workstations without requiring a permanent wall. Set the freestanding screen between the source and the people who need a quieter area, then reposition it when the layout changes.
The acoustic screen has a blue, solid panel and an aluminium frame measuring 1,300 mm wide by 1,860 mm high. Its height and width make it useful for screening an individual workstation or a piece of equipment while keeping the surrounding workspace accessible. Sound attenuation of 30–50 dB.
For work areas that change regularly, an optional four-piece castor kit, item 1013-711, lets you move the screen between positions. The castors are sold separately.

A machine does not have to run all day to disrupt the work around it. A short test cycle, a compressor starting up or a noisy repair at a bench can interrupt people several metres away. This industrial noise reduction screen gives you a practical way to place a physical barrier between a noisy activity and the next workstation. It is intended for workshops and production areas where the source of noise, or the arrangement of workstations, can change.
The screen has a solid blue panel within an aluminium frame. At 1,300 mm wide and 1,860 mm high, it can mark out one side of a work area without building a permanent partition. The frame stands on feet, as shown in the product image. If the task moves, the screen can be moved with it. An optional castor kit provides another way to reposition it in a changing workspace.
Sound travels directly from a machine to nearby people, and it also reflects from walls, floors and ceilings. An acoustic screen placed between the task and another workstation interrupts some of that direct path. That makes it useful when a noisy operation takes place beside work that calls for conversation, inspection or careful assembly.
Position the screen between the noisy equipment and the people whose work is being interrupted. It will generally be more useful close to the noise source or close to the people you want to shield than halfway across an open floor. Check the view from the affected workstation: if the source remains visible around the edge of the panel, more sound can travel directly past it.
The supplied product information gives a sound attenuation range of 30–50 dB. That figure describes the screen in the product information; it is not a promise that the sound level at every nearby workstation will fall by 30–50 dB. The effect at a particular position depends on the noise frequency, the distance between the screen and the source, the height of the source and the amount of sound reflected by the room.
Some noisy jobs stay in the same bay every day: others shift as equipment is repaired, tested or moved through production. For the latter, a fixed partition may be awkward. This acoustic screen can be repositioned to follow the job, so the barrier is placed where the noise is being produced at that time. A four-piece castor kit is available as an accessory under item number 1013-711. With the optional kit fitted, you can move the screen between work areas without carrying the entire frame.
