Short cut lengths and mixed-size items are the ones that refuse to stay put on a standard cantilever rack. An item tray is an add-on for cantilever racks that rests on the cantilever arms and creates a more continuous surface on the level. That way you can store shorter pieces on open arms without them dropping between the arms.
Use the item tray (cantilever rack tray) when you want to keep short bars, profiles, trims or cut lengths in the same bay as your long stock. It helps keep goods grouped, speeds up picking, and makes stock checks simpler when one cantilever rack holds several lengths.
