Wooden pallet collars for storage, handling and freight

A pallet is convenient for moving uniform packages, but small or loose items need a clear edge around them. A wooden pallet collar adds that edge and turns the pallet into a practical, open-top container. It is a straightforward solution for warehouses, production areas, packing stations and other places where goods must be grouped on a pallet for storage or transport.

The range includes collars for three common pallet footprints: half-Euro, EUR and FIN. This makes it easier to choose a collar that matches the pallets already used in the operation. The same frame can also work outdoors: the collar is described as non-toxic and is suitable for a raised planting area.

Stack pallet collars to match the contents

One pallet collar forms a low side around the pallet. When a taller edge is needed, several pallet collars can be placed on top of one another. This modular arrangement lets the user adjust the height to suit the items being stored or moved. It is particularly useful for smaller goods that could otherwise spread across the pallet or be awkward to keep together during routine handling. The stacked wooden frames create a higher and stable perimeter without changing the footprint of the base pallet.

Folding construction saves storage space

Empty packaging can take up valuable floor and shelf space. Each folding pallet collar can be collapsed and stored flat when it is not in use. The flat form is easier to place in a compact stack than a fixed-sided box, helping keep spare collars organised until they are needed again. Sturdy galvanised corner hinges connect the planed pine boards and enable the folding action. The same hinges hold the sides together when the collar is opened and placed on the correct pallet.

Select the collar according to the footprint of the pallet. The stated dimensions, heights and approximate weights are:

• Half-Euro pallet collar: 800 × 600 mm, height 165 mm, weight approx. 6 kg
• EUR pallet collar: 800 × 1200 mm, height 195 mm, weight approx. 8 kg
• FIN pallet collar: 1000 × 1200 mm, height 195 mm, weight approx. 9 kg

A pallet collar can also become a planting frame

These collars are not limited to logistics. Because the collar is described as non-toxic, a wooden pallet collar can also be used as a simple raised planting frame. It can form a compact herb bed or a small area for growing potatoes, even when positioned directly on grass. As in warehouse use, the collars can be stacked when a deeper growing area is wanted. This gives the same basic product a practical role in a yard, garden or shared outdoor area.

Wood, plastic or steel pallet collars

The listed models are made from planed pine boards with galvanised corner hinges. Pallet collars are also available in plastic and steel for industrial applications.
