This 500 kg platform trolley with side panels is built to keep pipes, carpet rolls, profiles and other long goods steady while they are moved between storage, production and dispatch. The side panels run along the long edges of the deck, giving the load support where it matters most, while the open ends keep loading and unloading quick and practical. The 12 mm MDF deck gives goods a firm base, and the 270 mm platform height makes daily handling easier when items are lifted, slid or guided onto the truck by hand or with forklift forks. Side panel height is 400 mm and overall height is 900 mm.
Four black solid rubber wheels with needle bearings keep movement controlled: two fixed and two swivel. The wheel set rolls smoothly, helps dampen vibration and is kinder to the floor in everyday use.
Two deck sizes are available:

Pipes, carpet rolls, profiles and similar items do not always sit well on a plain flat deck, especially when they need to be moved through a warehouse, workshop or dispatch area several times during the day. This platform trolley with side panels is made for exactly that kind of handling. It gives long goods support along both sides of the deck, leaves the ends open for easier access and offers a 500 kg load capacity for everyday industrial use.
What makes the design work is its layout. The side panels run in the lengthwise direction of the truck instead of closing off the ends. Long goods usually want to move sideways, roll slightly or drift out of line when the truck starts, stops or turns. By supporting the load along the long edges, the truck helps keep it under control without making loading awkward.
A standard flatbed can be enough for boxes, bins and neatly stacked packages. Long goods are another matter. When the load is made up of pipes, carpet rolls, profiles or similar items, sideways movement quickly becomes the main problem. The long side panels on this 500 kg platform truck deal with that directly. They help keep the load aligned over the full length of the deck area and reduce the need to steady it by hand once the truck is moving.
Because the ends are left open, longer items can be loaded from the front or rear without having to work around fixed end panels. That makes the truck easier to use when goods are transferred on by hand, when two people are carrying a longer item together or when forklift forks need clear access from the end. Open ends also make this design more flexible than a fully enclosed truck. You get the side support needed for long goods, but you do not lose the straightforward loading pattern of a flat platform.
A 500 kg load capacity gives the truck enough strength for regular use with bulky, awkward or substantial goods. It is well suited to internal transport tasks where the load is too large or too unstable for a plain platform, but where powered handling equipment would be unnecessary or inefficient. The 270 mm platform height is another detail that proves its value in daily use. A lower deck makes it easier to slide, lift or guide goods onto the truck without having to raise them any higher than necessary. When the load is long, that matters. Side panel height is 400 mm and the overall height of the truck is 900 mm. That combination gives the load clear support without making the truck feel boxed in.
The deck is made from 12 mm MDF. For everyday transport work, that gives the load a flat and stable base that is easy to work with. Goods sit more predictably, positioning is simpler and the operator can settle the load properly from the start instead of correcting it halfway through the move. That is useful with rolls and tubular items in particular, where small shifts at the beginning often become larger ones later. The deck material also keeps day-to-day upkeep straightforward. It is easy to keep clean and practical in working environments where equipment needs to stay serviceable without demanding extra attention.
This platform truck runs on four black solid rubber wheels with needle bearings. The setup is two fixed wheels and two swivel wheels, a proven arrangement for manual transport. The fixed wheels help the truck hold a line, while the swivel wheels make it easier to guide the load through changes of direction. Needle bearings help reduce rolling resistance, so the truck moves more freely under load. Solid rubber wheels add another practical benefit by helping to dampen vibration and by being kinder to many floor surfaces in routine indoor use.
This side-panel platform truck is available in two deck sizes: 1000 x 700 mm and 1200 x 800 mm.
In both cases, the basic working idea stays the same: open ends, side support along the long edges and a 500 kg capacity.
