When a load is too heavy or awkward to carry but does not require a large platform trolley, a plywood transport dolly is a practical middle ground. It keeps goods close to floor level, moves in any direction and takes up little room around the load. With a maximum capacity of 300 kg, this model is suitable for moving boxes, containers, components, supplies and other stable items over short internal routes.

The dolly combines an 18 mm plywood deck with four swivel nylon castors. Two platform sizes are available, and each can be ordered with a plain plywood surface or a ribbed rubber mat. This gives you four versions built around the same load capacity and wheel arrangement.

A compact dolly for everyday material handling

Large handling equipment is not always the most efficient choice. In packing areas, stockrooms, workshops and production spaces, the route may include narrow aisles, workbenches or closely placed equipment. The compact format of this transport dolly makes it easier to move loads through these areas without a projecting handle or a large turning circle.

Because the load sits on a low platform, items can be placed directly on the deck. The dolly can then be guided from the side that best suits the route. This is useful when the direction changes often between storage, assembly, packing and dispatch points, or when the available approach changes from one work area to the next.

Rigid plywood deck

The 18 mm plywood deck forms a solid base for flat-bottomed loads. It supports cartons, plastic containers, equipment cases and other goods that need an even platform during transport. Plywood also keeps the construction straightforward: there are no raised sides to limit the dimensions of the item placed on the dolly.

Four swivel nylon castors

All four nylon castors swivel, allowing the plywood dolly to turn and move sideways as well as forwards and backwards. This full-swivel arrangement is useful in restricted work areas where there may not be enough space to make a wide turn. The castors have a diameter of 100 mm and are designed to roll easily under the rated load.

Plain plywood or a ribbed rubber mat

The plain plywood version provides a simple, flat load surface. It is a practical choice for stable cartons, containers and cases with a broad, even base. Where the load may slide more easily, choose the model with a ribbed rubber mat. The textured surface increases friction between the deck and the item being carried.

A rubber-covered plywood transport dolly can be particularly useful for smooth plastic boxes, metal containers or equipment cases that are moved and stopped repeatedly. The mat helps limit unwanted movement during normal handling, but it does not replace correct load positioning or any securing measures required for an unstable item. Both surface options have the same 300 kg load capacity.
