For day-to-day picking from higher shelves, the PTH mobile aluminium warehouse steps give staff a practical 1.14 m platform. These mobile warehouse steps have a fixed frame and are intended primarily for picking light goods in warehouses, stockrooms and retail stores. At 10 kg, the unit can be repositioned between picking locations as work moves along the aisle.
The wheel arrangement supports frequent moves during picking. Fixed 75 mm rear wheels work with spring-loaded wheels on the climbing side. When the user steps onto the ladder, the spring wheels compress so the frame settles into its working position. The handrails assist ascent and descent, while the aluminium chequer-plate platform forms the standing level for brief picking tasks.

The PTH mobile aluminium warehouse steps are designed for regular access to small goods stored on shelving in warehouses, stockrooms and retail premises. A 1.14 m platform, fixed aluminium frame and wheel system suit picking locations where the steps are moved several times during the working day. This Finnish-made model does not fold. The frame remains open and ready for use, with no folding mechanism to operate before climbing. Five treads, including the top platform, are combined with handrails on the climbing side and a knee support above the platform. At 10 kg, the complete unit is straightforward to reposition between picking points.
The aluminium construction keeps the mobile warehouse steps relatively light while providing a fixed structure for repeated use. With no folding joints to open, the unit can be moved from one shelf section to the next and used again without a separate unfolding step. A fixed frame also needs a suitable storage and transport route.
Handrails on the climbing side give the user support during ascent and descent. At the top, the knee support rises 600 mm above the platform area. Together, these elements create clear points of support as the user moves onto and away from the standing level. Each tread is 80 mm deep. This dimension gives more foot contact than a narrow ladder rung and suits short, repeated climbs during stock picking.
The top platform is made from strong aluminium chequer plate. Its raised pattern clearly distinguishes the standing area and provides a durable metal surface for warehouse and shop use. As the platform is solid rather than perforated, it should be kept clear of loose material and moisture before use.
The ladder has fixed 75 mm rear wheels and fixed spring-loaded wheels on the climbing side. This arrangement makes the unit easier to reposition along shelving. When the user steps onto the ladder, the spring wheels compress and the frame settles into its working position. The action responds to the user’s weight and should not be confused with a separate hand-operated wheel brake.
