Fläkt Woods Oy found the perfect solution to their challenge by reaching out to the right partner. THTT successfully combined expertise from multiple manufacturers into one comprehensive solution.
When Fläkt Woods planned a new production line, they had a clear vision of how they wanted it done—they just needed a reliable partner to transform their ideas into reality. According to Development Manager Pasi Heinonen, the company always seeks the best possible solution rather than automatically settling for what existing partners offer. However, this time, the ideal solution came from their trusted long-term partner, Turun Hylly- ja Trukkitalo.

Working closely with a knowledgeable sales representative ensures that problems are solved together. “It’s crucial that the salesperson genuinely explores various solutions rather than simply suggesting the first option that comes to mind,” emphasizes Pasi Heinonen.
THTT successfully combined expertise from several manufacturers into one cohesive solution. In addition to a shelf crane, the production line required shelving for tool storage. The best solution proved to be standardized, fully extendable pull-out shelves.
THTT actively sought suitable solutions
“We needed shelving for our production line and a lifting device for handling tools,” Heinonen explains.
It turned out that Erikkila, in collaboration with Kasten, had developed a product perfectly suited to Fläkt Woods’ requirements—where the lifting device was integrated into the shelving structure itself. A separate shelf and crane solution would have posed challenges in terms of space, increasing collision risks in tight areas.
“Once we realized that no other supplier offered a similar integrated solution, our choice was clear,” Heinonen adds. With this innovative approach, Fläkt Woods was able to save space and reduce costs. Most importantly, they found the right solution for the right application.

“Even heavy components can be moved smoothly and effortlessly,” explains Heinonen. The device’s lifting capacity ranges from 35 to 300 kg, and its articulated arm provides a reach of up to three meters.
