When a leaking tank, IBC or vehicle needs to be contained, there is no time for a complicated build. Rigid-Lock QuickBerm® XT unfolds into a large spill containment berm in only a few minutes. No tools are required, and the wall supports stay attached to the structure, so there are no separate frames or loose support rods to fit.

This heavy-duty model is designed for demanding industrial and field work. It creates a practical secondary containment area around tanks, drums, machinery, vehicles and other equipment where fuel, oil, grease, chemicals or contaminated wash water may escape. Six sizes are available, from 2,252 to 22,183 litres, covering applications from IBCs and industrial tanks to large vehicles and tankers.

Tool-free deployment in minutes

A containment system earns its place on site when it can be put into service quickly. The foldable construction keeps the process straightforward: unfold QuickBerm XT on the chosen area, raise the walls and lock the supports. After the job, release the supports, fold the walls inwards and pack the berm down for transport or storage.

Because the supports are built into the walls, operators do not have to find separate parts or assemble an external frame. That is useful in workshops, warehouses, maintenance areas, loading yards and temporary work sites where time and floor space are limited.

Built-in Rigid-Lock stainless steel supports

The patented Rigid-Lock mechanism uses stainless steel supports to hold the walls upright. Raising a wall moves its support into the locked position, helping the side retain its shape. To open the berm for access, the support is released and folded inwards. The same berm can therefore be opened for loading, closed for containment and folded away after the work is complete.

Each support has a sturdy brass ring that can be used as an anchoring point. This allows the portable spill containment berm to be secured to the ground when needed. The anchoring method should always suit the surface, weather and conditions at the site.

Drive-in access without ramps or dismantling

The inward-folding walls allow vehicles and handling equipment to enter without taking the spill berm apart. Lower the required wall section, move the equipment into position and raise the wall again after access. Tankers, refuelling trailers, forklift trucks and pallet trucks can therefore enter the containment area without separate ramps.

This drive-in spill containment design is useful when equipment must be moved regularly. A leaking vehicle can be brought into a controlled area, an IBC can be positioned by forklift truck, or a tanker can enter for work that needs secondary containment.

XT material for demanding industrial use

XT stands for Extreme Toughness. The QuickBerm XT range uses the thickest fabric in the QuickBerm family, with modified PVC coating on both sides. It is intended for demanding work, repeated vehicle access and long-term exposure to UV radiation, making the berm suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

The fabric resists petrol, oils, greases and most acids. This supports use in fuel handling, maintenance, storage and chemical spill containment where compatibility has been confirmed. Before use, always check the material against the exact liquid, concentration, temperature and expected contact time.

CriticalCorner™ reinforcement and abrasion-resistant edges

A large containment berm must keep its shape as the liquid level rises. CriticalCorner™ reinforcement supports the wall structure and helps prevent the corners from folding inwards when the berm contains liquid. This becomes especially important in the larger models, where the retained volume puts more pressure on the walls and corners.

The walls also have a 25 mm abrasion-resistant edge. It protects an area that may come into contact with tyres, cables, chains and other equipment during normal work. Together with the stainless steel supports and durable fabric, the reinforced corners and wall edges help the structure stand up to demanding spill-control tasks.
