The Skyline EFA fibreglass extension ladder provides a more practical answer. Its working length can be adjusted in 280 mm increments with a rope-and-pulley mechanism, so the ladder can be set to suit the access point and the task.

The ladder is made from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester, also known as GRP. This material gives the product good chemical resistance and supports its use in demanding professional environments. The Skyline EFA is also approved for live electrical work up to 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.

Rope-operated extension ladder with 280 mm adjustment

The main practical feature of the Skyline EFA is its rope-and-pulley height adjustment. The mechanism changes the ladder length in fixed 280 mm increments, giving the user a clear and repeatable way to set the required reach. The ladder structure is made from glass-fibre-reinforced polyester. In addition to its approval for electrical work, this GRP construction offers good chemical resistance. That is relevant in industrial facilities and maintenance areas where material choice forms part of the equipment specification. The fibreglass construction is stated to have been tested according to SFS EN ISO 4892-2 and DIN 53453.

Replaceable foot caps

With an external width of 420 mm, the Skyline EFA is designed to be stable to handle and use. At floor level, replaceable foot caps help the ladder maintain contact with its supporting surface. The caps are made from a high-grip, two-component rubber compound. Because they can be replaced, worn contact parts do not automatically mean that the complete GRP extension ladder must be taken out of service.
