This large shelf bin cabinet combines a sturdy steel frame with 48 Treston 4010 shelf bins. The result is a compact storage bin cabinet that holds many different part numbers in a small footprint. It is suitable for small parts storage, screw storage, accessory storage, spare part sorting and general component storage. Instead of spreading loose boxes across shelves or workbenches, the 4840 cabinet brings the same items into one organised unit that is easy to read, easy to refill and easy to use during picking.

Compact steel frame with 48 shelf bins

The cabinet frame measures 605 mm wide, 410 mm deep and 870 mm high. It offers 48 separate shelf bins for small parts. The frame is grey powder-coated steel in RAL7045, giving the cabinet a clean and durable industrial finish. Adjustable feet are included so the cabinet can be levelled more accurately on uneven floors. The backstops help keep the bins in place and reduce the risk of a bin falling out when it is pulled forward. The total load capacity of the cabinet is 240 kg, and the load capacity per shelf is 30 kg.

Treston 4010 shelf bins for small parts storage

The 4010 shelf bins are designed for efficient use of space. Their straight sides help make the internal space usable, and the wavy base helps when picking small items from the bottom of the bin. This is useful with screws, washers, nuts, fittings and other parts that are difficult to grip from a flat-bottomed container. The front label area also helps workers find the right item without opening several bins or asking where a product has been stored. Labels are included in the product, and each label is protected by a shield. The shield helps keep the label cleaner in everyday use and makes it easier to replace the label when the contents of the bin change.

Material and resistance of the plastic shelf bins

The coloured 4010 plastic shelf bins are made of polypropylene (PP). Their temperature tolerance is -20 … +75°C, and the material withstands oils, most acids, alkalis and solvents. This makes the bins suitable for many industrial storage areas where parts may be handled near lubricants, cleaning agents or other normal workshop substances. Transparent shelf bins and ESD versions are available to order. Transparent bins can be useful when visual checking of contents is important. ESD versions are intended for storage areas where electrostatic discharge protection is required, such as electronics production, electronics maintenance or ESD-controlled workstations.

Accessories for a more tailored storage bin cabinet

The Treston 4840 small parts storage cabinet can be adapted with accessories ordered separately. D-10 cross dividers divide the 4010 shelf bins into smaller compartments, which is useful when one bin needs to hold several related items. The dividers are available in packs of 10 or 100 pcs. This can reduce the number of full bins needed for very small parts and help separate sizes, materials or variants inside the same bin.

The PS-LH castor set is available when the cabinet needs to be moved for cleaning, layout changes or flexible production use. The set includes four Ø100 mm castors, two of them with brakes. A retaining bar set is also available for situations where the bins need added securing. These accessories make the same cabinet easier to adapt to a fixed warehouse location, a maintenance area or a more flexible workstation layout.
