The Treston RRT reel trolley keeps component reels organised and ready to move between storage, kitting and production areas. Its open design gives staff a clear view of the stored reels, while four height-adjustable perforated steel shelves allow the trolley to be arranged for the required reel storage setup.
The powder-coated steel structure is ESD protected for use with static-sensitive electronic components. Four swivel castors make the trolley easy to position, and two braked castors help keep it steady when parked. Each shelf carries up to 50 kg, with a maximum total load of 200 kg.
The trolley is supplied without reel racks. RR ESD-Z racks for SMD reels and the DSA4 ESD A4 document holder are available separately.

The Treston RRT ESD SMD reel trolley provides one mobile location for storing and transporting SMD component reels. It is designed for electronics production, component stores, kitting areas and other ESD-controlled workspaces where reels need to remain organised and easy to reach. Instead of carrying individual reels or moving several boxes, staff can transfer the required stock together and position it close to the next task.
The trolley combines a narrow 530 mm depth with four adjustable shelves and a total load capacity of 200 kg. This makes practical use of vertical space without creating a deep storage unit. The open sides also make reel locations easy to see, which can support quicker stock checks, replenishment and picking. When fitted with the separately available reel racks, the trolley can hold up to 360 SMD reels.
Electronic components can be sensitive to electrostatic discharge during storage and handling. The RRT reel holder trolley is ESD protected and intended for use in areas where static-sensitive parts are handled. Its steel parts have a powder-coated finish, and the light grey RAL 7035 colour gives the unit a clear, neutral appearance in production and storage environments.
The SMD reel trolley includes four height-adjustable, perforated steel shelves. Each shelf measures 1090 x 430 x 28 mm and has a maximum load capacity of 50 kg. Shelf positions can therefore be adapted to the storage arrangement and to the space needed around the reels and optional holders.
The open, perforated shelf layout keeps reels visible and accessible. There are no cabinet doors or drawers to open during picking and replenishment. The total trolley capacity is 200 kg when the load is distributed within the stated shelf limits.
For dedicated reel organisation, add the separately sold RR ESD-Z reel racks. Up to four galvanised reel racks can be fitted to the trolley. Each rack measures 960 x 426 x 254 mm and is designed for SMD reels. The racks divide the available shelf space into clear reel positions, helping users keep different components separated and retrieve the required reel without sorting through a loose group.
Four swivel castors allow the ESD reel trolley to turn and manoeuvre in working areas where space may be limited. The castors have a diameter of 125 mm, and two are fitted with brakes. Once the trolley reaches the workstation, line-side area or storage position, the brakes help keep it stationary during access.
Mobile reel storage can reduce repeated handling between the component store, preparation area and production line. A planned set of reels can be collected onto the trolley, moved to the point of use and returned in the same organised layout. This supports straightforward material flow without adding a fixed storage unit beside every work area.
The end frames are made from round, 25 mm powder-coated steel tube. The shelves are also steel, giving the trolley a firm structure for regular storage and transport tasks. Each shelf can carry up to 50 kg, and the maximum total load is 200 kg. Loads should be distributed evenly and kept within both limits. The trolley is intended for indoor industrial use, particularly electronics production and related storage areas where ESD protection is required.
The RRT reel storage trolley is supplied as a base unit with four adjustable, perforated shelves. The reel racks shown with stored reels are not included and must be ordered separately. This is important when planning a complete SMD reel storage solution.
The compatible RR ESD-Z reel rack is the main accessory for arranging component reels. A DSA4 ESD document holder is also available separately. The A4 holder uses two magnets and provides a visible place for work instructions, stock information or other relevant documents.
