Warning and protection profiles for visible edge protection

Sharp corners and projecting edges are easy to overlook in a busy warehouse or production area. A moment of inattention near shelving, a gate or a doorway can lead to a painful knock, a cut or damage to equipment. These warning and protection profiles make the hazard more visible and place a flexible polyurethane cushion over the exposed edge.

The yellow-and-black warning pattern stands out clearly in industrial surroundings. At the same time, the impact-resistant material softens accidental contact with the protected surface. This combination makes the profiles a practical choice wherever a hard edge cannot be removed but needs to be marked and covered.

Visible warning with a cushioned surface

A painted line or warning label can draw attention to a hazard, but it does not cover the hard edge itself. These polyurethane foam protectors perform both jobs. The striped surface highlights the risk, while the flexible profile creates a physical buffer between people, handling equipment and the edge underneath.

The profiles are suitable for protecting sharp and hazardous edges on warehouse shelving, gate frames, door openings, columns, machine housings and similar structures. They can also be used along the upper or outer edges of shelving and around industrial guard structures. Select the shape that follows the surface closely so that the protective section sits in the right position.

Elastic, impact-resistant polyurethane foam

Each profile is made from dense, elastic polyurethane, also known as PUR foam. The material compresses under impact and returns to its shape afterwards, leaving a softer contact surface over the hard edge.

The closed-cell structure does not absorb water or oil. It also retains its flexibility across an operating temperature range of −30 to +80 °C. These properties allow the polyurethane foam protectors to be used both indoors and outdoors, including demanding warehouse, production and loading environments.

Choose the profile that matches the hazard

Use the round edge protection profile where a rounded section needs to be covered, such as a pipe post or part of a gate frame. Its Ø 40 mm format follows curved or projecting structures more closely than a flat strip.

The 45 × 45 mm corner protection profile is intended for right-angled outside corners. Typical locations include the exposed corners of warehouse shelving and concrete columns beside a route or work area.

Choose the 50 × 22 mm straight protection profile for flat or narrow contact areas. Door frames, aluminium strips and machine housings are examples where a straight cushioning surface is often the clearest fit.

Self-adhesive backing for straightforward installation

The adhesive strips are already fitted to the back of the profiles. Cut the 1 m section to the required length with a sharp knife, remove the protective backing and press the profile into place. The pre-applied adhesive makes installation quick and avoids a separate mechanical fixing system.
