ZAP Neo S aluminium platform ladder for professional access

For maintenance, installation and order-picking work, reaching the right height is only part of the job. The user also needs a firm place to stand, a comfortable way up and support around the working position. The ZAP Neo S platform ladder brings these features together in a lightweight aluminium design for professional use. It has wide serrated treads, folding handrails and a work platform protected by a three-sided guardrail.

The top of the ladder is a working platform, not a narrow tread. Its 400 × 400 mm surface provides room for a balanced standing position during inspection, fitting and maintenance tasks. The platform is made from ribbed aluminium plate, which provides a textured surface under work footwear.

A guardrail runs around three sides of the platform and extends 1,000 mm above it. This gives the user support at the working position while leaving the access side open for climbing. The arrangement is useful when a task takes longer than a quick reach from a conventional step ladder, or when both hands are needed for the work.

Serrated treads and folding handrails

Access is from one side on 80 mm deep serrated treads. Their depth gives more foot contact than a narrow rung, while the textured surface supports secure footing during ascent and descent. Handrails run along both sides of the access section, providing a clear handhold on the way to and from the platform.

The handrails are anodised and can be folded for transport. This makes the ZAP Neo S easier to move between work areas and reduces the space needed when the ladder is stored. Anodised aluminium also leaves a cleaner handling surface than untreated aluminium. The tread-to-stile connection is triple riveted, and a rigid locking bar controls the open position of the ladder.

Stabilisers included for every model on this page

This product range is supplied as a complete FI package rather than as the basic ladder alone. Each package contains the stabiliser bars specified for its platform height.

• The 5-step model has one 1.2 m stabiliser bar.
• The 6-step model has two 1.0 m bars.
• The 7-step and 8-step models each have two 1.2 m bars.

The stabilisers increase the ladder’s supporting width and help control sideways movement when they are correctly fitted and the ladder is used on a firm, level surface. Their space requirement should be considered before selecting a model, especially in narrow aisles, between machinery or close to shelving. Always install and position the stabilisers in accordance with the product instructions before climbing.
