When a task takes more than a quick reach, standing space and access to tools make a noticeable difference. The ZAP Safemaster aluminium platform ladder combines a 400 × 400 mm work platform with high guardrails and a large storage tray. It is designed for maintenance, installation and routine access work in warehouses, production areas and on construction sites. The range covers eight platform heights. This makes it possible to select a platform step ladder for low-level work or for tasks that require a higher standing position, while keeping the same basic design across the range.

A 400 × 400 mm work platform for a steadier working position

The top platform gives the user a defined standing area instead of a narrow tread. At 400 × 400 mm, it provides room for the feet and makes small changes of position easier while drilling, measuring, checking stock or servicing equipment. The ribbed aluminium surface supports secure footing during normal professional use.

Three-sided guardrail and safety strap

A 1,000 mm high guardrail surrounds three sides of the work platform. A safety strap closes the access side once the user is in position. Together, these features define the standing area and provide support around the working position.

The handrails and guardrails are anodised. This finish keeps exposed aluminium from leaving dark marks on hands and work clothing, which is useful in assembly areas, maintenance departments and other workplaces where equipment is handled throughout the day. The rails also provide a clear handhold during ascent and descent.

Tools and small parts stay close to the job

The large tool tray is positioned within reach of the platform. It gives a practical place for hand tools, fasteners, measuring devices and other small items used during the task. Keeping these items organised reduces unnecessary trips up and down the platform steps and leaves the work platform free for standing.

80 mm treads and a stable folding structure

The 80 mm deep treads use ZARGES Safer Step Technology. Their depth provides more foot contact than narrow ladder rungs, supporting controlled ascent and descent. The structure uses rigid locking bars on both sides to hold the ladder open during use. Foldable anodised handrails help reduce the space required for transport. A handle at the platform assists with folding the ladder after use.
