A low profile self-tipping skip keeps scrap, swarf and packaging waste under control where floor space is tight. The low sides make filling quick near machine tools, presses and other workstations where a standard tipping skip may be too tall.
Automatic tipping is included as standard. The secure locking latch helps prevent accidental tipping, and the skip releases only when it is correctly positioned over the emptying point. Welded fork pockets allow the container to be moved with a pallet truck or forklift truck, so it can be filled under a machine and then taken directly to the waste or material collection point.

A low profile self-tipping skip is useful when waste or material has to be collected close to the point where it is created. In many machine halls, the problem is not only the distance to the waste station but also the space around the machine. Standard containers can be too high to place under a machine tool, press or low filling point. This low profile tipping skip is designed for these situations. Its low sides and wide opening make it easier to fill by pushing swarf, scrap or packaging waste straight into the container.
The main advantage of this low profile self-tipping skip is the easy filling height. Operators do not need to lift material over high sides when the skip is positioned correctly. This is useful with machine swarf, scrap pieces and packaging waste that is generated during production or maintenance work. Material can be pushed, swept or tipped in with less effort, which helps keep the work point moving during a busy shift. The open shape also gives good access from the front and sides.
Automatic tipping is included as standard. During emptying, the operator can manage the tipping process from the forklift truck instead of handling the load manually. This supports a smoother route from the workstation to the main waste or material collection point. The skip is filled where the material is created, moved when needed and emptied at the correct location.
A secure locking latch helps prevent accidental tipping. The container releases only when it is correctly positioned over the emptying point. This is important in production areas where containers are moved regularly and where safe, predictable handling is part of the daily routine. The correct centre of gravity for tipping also supports controlled emptying when the skip is used as intended.
Welded fork pockets in the frame allow the low profile tipping skip to be handled with a pallet truck or a forklift truck. It can also be used with a suitable pallet stacker in internal handling. This gives the same container more flexibility: it can be moved a short distance with a pallet truck in a tight area and handled with a forklift truck when it needs to be emptied.
The low profile self-tipping skip is available in three sizes. All models have the same height, while the width changes according to the required volume.
| Volume | Dimensions L x W x H | Load capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 550 L | 1645 x 1065 x 525 mm | 1500 kg |
| 750 L | 1645 x 1315 x 525 mm | 1500 kg |
| 900 L | 1645 x 1565 x 525 mm | 1500 kg |
Tailored tipping skips can also be requested for special handling needs. Available options include a 150 mm castor wheel set, factory-fitted fork release, fork lock, false bottom and drain tap, cross-direction fork pockets, special colours and additional markings. These options help adapt the tipping skip to different workstations, waste streams and internal transport routes.
The fork lock is intended to add a secured locking device for forklift handling. Cross-direction fork pockets can help when the container must be approached from another direction in a tight layout. A false bottom and drain tap can be requested for applications where that structure is needed. Special colours and markings can support clearer sorting or identification inside the facility.
