The Skipper 9m retractable barrier unit makes it quick to cordon off a work area, aisle or temporary hazard indoors or outdoors. Its patented design contains 9 metres of retractable tape, giving you a long, clearly visible boundary from one compact unit.
When the area reopens, the tape retracts into the unit for tidy handling and storage.
The Skipper safety barrier system can be adapted with compatible accessories. Available options include a safety light, a wall receiver clip and a sign holder. Accessories and wall-mounting components are available separately.

When an aisle, entrance or work zone needs to be closed, the Skipper 9m retractable barrier unit creates a visible boundary without a fixed floor installation. The patented unit contains 9 metres of retractable barrier tape and is suitable for temporary use indoors and outdoors. It is a practical way to manage changing access in warehouses, production areas, construction sites and maintenance zones.
The unit sits on top of a barrier post or traffic cone. Move the post or cone to the required position, pull out the tape and connect it to a suitable receiving point. If the same location needs to be closed regularly, the unit can also be installed on a wall with a separately sold wall bracket.
A 9-metre tape lets you cover a long aisle, opening or section of a work area from one unit. Two colour combinations are available: black/yellow and red/white. Choose the option that matches the colour rules and existing safety markings at the site. Either version gives the barrier a clear, high-contrast appearance.
Once the barrier is in place, the built-in locking mechanism helps prevent unintended tape retraction. This is especially useful outdoors, where wind or activity around the marked area could otherwise disturb the tape. The lock helps the boundary remain in the intended position until access is reopened. When the area reopens, the tape retracts into the unit. The barrier can then be removed, relocated or kept ready for the next closure.
